The audience tends to view this representation differently and they tend to express different views, most people are aware that Tide is a cleaning product for clothe that has good results of leaving clothe so cleaned that it might seemed as if it was never dirty in the first place, but with this commercial they are wanting to say the opposite of what they want to happened . The mother wished for the clothe to be damage instead of clean and it shows how some mothers might think and media portrays this.
On the H&M ad the genre represented is all of the ethnicity the is and the LGTB community, this ad wants to show the importance of recycling because they can recycle clothe for new peices of clothing. The way the portray this representation if through the diversity of models from all types of skin color to shapes, gender, and ethnicity they also use the representation of hair whether its in the head or body hair. Some people strongly believe that this goes against the fashion ethics that exist, everyone has a view of clothing models they have to be a certain way or else they aren't taken serious. This representations H&M uses prove and go against the views of people and the ideas they have form the beginning , this ad is trying to show diversity through the use of real life and not through a life we have viewed. When faced with these representations people usually don't know what to do because it gives them a sense that everything they've known was unreal and it messes up their whole view of these sort of things.
Overall with these two companies the way they are viewed through media isn't truly what we believed "real" was but instead what we don't usually want to see or believe. Both companies show and prove the way representation is depending on the people and the diversity of it.
